>When did the large rivet Brooks Team Pro first appear?
Like many kids who lived out in the boonies, miles from a decent bike shop, my first sight of a large-rivet Brooks Pro was on the Raliegh Team Pro in the 1974 Raleigh catalog. My friends and I handed that catalog back and forth like it was a copy of Playboy. There were so many cool features on that red and yellow beauty.

********************** To Brooks specialist, and all,
Is there certain difference between Brooks Prof. with large rivett vs. Team Professional Saddle? I have a 1972-ish Raleigh Prof. bike came with Brooks Prof, "large" rivett.
Mian question is; when did Brooks Prof. Large Rivet saddle become avilable?
Thank you,

In the January 1964 issue of Sporting Cyclist (GB magazine) there is a half page ad for the Brooks "Professional" large rivet saddle. With the magazine's two month lead time that would make this reference November 1964 (the previous months of the magazine show no similar ad).
Anyone seen some reference earlier than this?

*********************** Thanks Chuck .
I didn't remember it was 1964 ( earliest date so far ) .
But , to be clear , when was the release of the Brooks Professional ?
And , when was the release of the Brooks Team Professional ( with the large , hand-hammered , rivets ) ?
I was fairly sure that the ones with really large , hand-hammered ( planished ) rivets , appeared along with the very first Raleigh Team Professional bicycles ( 1973-1974 ? ) .
