I have owned three Ephgraves who's numbers are listed on the CR site. The higher number one is listed incorrectly as 78/79. This frame is far earlier and the date attributed to it is when it came into my ownership not the year of manufacture. All three of my Ephgraves had their numbers located under the bottom bracket shell and on the steerer tube. Like Hilary I am sure Thomas machine is the pukka article. I still have the original receipt for LE2269 which was ordered in November 1953. Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
