Pirelli has owned the Clement brand for a while now. Just recently they decided that they were going to retire the brand, then they decided not to do that.

> I have just received a number of silk tubulars from Italy. They are all
marked Pirelli Cronoman seta extra. Does anybody have any idea as to the
vintage of these tires? When did Pirelli stop making tubulars? My Italian
contacts have given me varying dates for the production of Pirelli tubulars.
The tires are exceedingly lightweight track tires.

> In the same shipment, I also got a few Pirelli Cronoman seta (without the
'extra')tubulars, these seem to be road tires. Molded into the tread rubber
it says Clement, does this mean that Clement made all or a certain part of
the Pirelli tubulars, or simply towards the end of the existence of Pirelli
tubulars?
