Hello Tom,

I have a Frejus from the same period, it has the Reynolds 531 decal on the toptube too.

My wife has a late 50s TdF and it has a Columbus decal on the seat tube.

I think Frejus made the prettiest bikes!

All of the other decals on the bike are in very good condition, and there doesn't appear to be a place where an original tubing decal was removed from the more "normal" placement on the seattube. I have never seen the placement of the tubing decal on the toptube and am wondering if such a placement was common or particular to certain manufacturers. I have had other Frejus's, and I cannot recall that those decals were placed on the toptube.

Thank you.

Cheers.
