the seller has listed that bicycle on and off for a while
and i remember his name from the old days. when we
filled the orders, we had occasional contact with the
shop or client; perhaps he remembers a conversation
or two. otherwise, i believe peter and i initialed the
orders as they went into a log book - but the frames
weren't similarly marked. i exited the shop in summer
of 1975 so i can't remember too many more details.
either way, iirc only the very first frames were made
by the same guy start to finish. once we got the helpers
on staff, they did the prep, filing, and laborious tasks,
leaving peter and i more time to spend fishing in long
island sound on the owner's boat.
