I recently told the story(1) of acquiring Gregor Braun's old team Moser. It's a 1981 bike built just two years after Francesco Moser launched his bicycle company, while Moser was still racing. I'd wondered who actually built the Moser, for Braun.

Two Sundays ago I did the Silicon Valley ride(2), and brought the Moser. I should mention that I don't know much about road bikes from before around 1985, since that's when I started riding and racing them. Peter Johnson took a quick scan of the Moser in the parking lot, felt the diamond shaped stays and suggested it may have been built at De Rosa.

BTW, it rides rather nicely. It needs a longer stem for me to fit it properly, and a proper drivetrain tune. (I rode it nearly as received.) I'm looking forward to riding it with nice wheels.

Anyway,
