For these tires ,skip Coker,go direct to the people who still make them:

Harper Machine&Manufacturing

1329 Dunbar Ave.

Dunbar , West Va.25064

(304)768-1147

Expect to pay around $100 per tire.

You'll need to call--they don't have inter-net,and if for a track bike be sure and tell them as this might make a big difference. If they are Track rims and narrow will regular sew ups work?Maybe some of the others have experence with early track bikes to share

>I want to refurbish an old 1920's track bike and am wondering if it is possible to find tires 28" x 1" for such a bike. These are the tires which have the innertube and tread as a one piece unit. Unfortunately, the bike is missing the headbadge. It's a lighweight lugged bike that weighs about 19-20 lbs. These are the tires which are similar to sewups that are not clincher, but rather compress around the rim. I think they were applied using some type of heat to expand the rubber. They are like a heavy innertube with a tread pattern on one side. The bike has wood rims that are not clad with steel. The rear wheel is twisted and will have to be replaced.
