Subject: [CR]Can anyone help with Emperor Sport?

Good fellows, Can anyone kindly provide some details of the English Make 'Emperor Sport'? I raced during the late 70's and early 80s with much enthusiasm but little success, not that that mattered in the least. I Still ride my mount from this period, a '76 'Roberts' built to a high standard by Old Charlie.

My training mate from this period has given me his old bikes as this is where my interest lies ('85 de rosa....even the '97 Super Corsa has friction levers). Two of his machines are 'Emperor Sport'. I recall this was the favoured mount of that powerhouse, Sean Yates for a time but, having done the cursory web checks I find very little, well nothing actually, about this marque.

I'd be delighted to discover the story. I recall that a few of the blokes with money had Emperor sports Built and sent out to the antipodes. They seemed pretty flash to a wide eyed student.

Forgive my poor form. I should introduce myself as this is my first communication.

I'm a frail old crock, father of two, who rides daily on the old De Rosa to work. I enjoy doing long rides on classic machines at a fair clip. I keep them period correct but the art (for mine) is in the frame so I have no problem mixing the bits about.
