Dale Saso still is an active framebuilder. He builds classic steel frames by brass or silver brazing -- not fancy, but very nice and extremely well made. In fact, he just built a beautiful 'vintage' frame for me a few months ago -- Reynolds 531 tubing, Prugnat lugs, Campagnolo 1010 dropouts and fork ends (which I supplied) along with a Fischer bottom bracket (unfortunately, his last one) and an unknown but very nice vintage fork crown. I built up the bike with early 1970s components, and it rides great! Dale is as good as it gets when it comes to framebuilding. Moreover, he has over 30 years experience in the business (I know, because I've known him for 30 years). He is a super nice guy and a pleasure with whom to work. He is extremely flexible, and will build the frame to your specifications (though he will provide advice if you request something that may not be in your best interest).
