FWIW, I just checked my Paramount track bike. That is a wholly original bike. The rims are Schwinn relabeled, but are identical to Fiamme Red Label rims from the same peiod. Side by side with the Fiamme's, one and the same.
Paramount frame number: K7804 Translation: Frame number 4, October 1978
It's a little after the period you are inquiring about, but same era.

I must concur. I worked at Parkwest Schwinn in Chicago as a youngster in 73 and 74; building, servicing and selling Paramounts and other models. Since Chicago was the Schwinn hometown you might expect I would have seen Schwinn labeled rims on Paramounts. I have no recollection of anything but Mavic, and Fiamme red labels (we may have laced those up ourselves by request). Any Schwinn re-labeled parts were mostly on lesser model bikes we unpacked and assembled.
