I use to ride on tubs all the time. This included by everyday work bike, winter hack and touring bike. Always rode 13oz (300gm) plus tubs fixed with Dunlop rim cement. If anyone can tell me of a cheap source for new tubs of this weight I would go back to using them again. There use to be so many cheap brands here in the UK Barum, Kowalait, Lion, Milremo and Alessandro what ever happened to them? Its not that long ago that you could get a good tub for £4.00 or £5.00 (roughly $7.50). Never used flint catchers either. Roland Hilgarth <photo1@osmiumtet.com> wrote: Hi all,

Sorry if this is off topic, but I have a set of Mavic tubular wheels and am trying to decide if I want to put them on a 1986 vintage Puch Mistral Leader frame. The questions I have is has anybody done this and how do the tires hold up to being out in weather conditions; i.e. rain etc. I am not planning on riding in the snow or anything I just worry about the durability of the glue that holds the tire to the rim. Thanks for your help.
