I think this was just an updated UO-8. I believe they went to a three arm cotterless alloy Stronglight crank to replace the cottered steel crank on the early 70's UO-8. Peugeot was characteristically loyal to French component manufactures. A lot of other manufacturers were going to the Sugino Maxy on low end bikes at that time.
