What I found off-putting about 80's Colnagos, besides the impressed chain stay logos, and the abuse of the fluted seat stay caps, was sloppy chrome, most particularly on the all-colored-chrome bikes. My memories aren't as positive as Dale's -- I have recollections of red chrome frames with grunge around the head lugs. Maybe I imagined it.
