Norris outed the following auction:
> For all you enthusiasts of this tuning-fork type derailleur..the idea never
> grabbed me thank goodness - there's a Legnano Corsa (item No 7103295244) on
> Italian Ebay.
This bike, with a starting price of 1150 euros, is being sold by my friend Pierluigi Farè. Check out his personal museum website: http://www.ciclocollection.it/
He is still working on the website and there are still quite a few typos in the English version.
The Legnano being sold does not belong personally to Pierluigi. He is selling it for a friend. This appears to be a very nice bike. At the recent Imola swap meet that took place last weekend, there was a lesser example of this bike that sold for 1500 euros. The value of good examples of these bikes is definitely going up quickly in Italy. Were the average Italian more computer-literate, this bike would more than likely be sold in Italy for between 1200-1500 euros. The shipping cost to the US is listed in the listing at approximately 150 euros. At this time, I must point out that the Ancora bike that Pierluigi sent to Aldo Ross did get damaged during shipping. I do however believe that Aldo and Pierluigi have come to some sort of an agreement and Aldo is riding the bike already. Pierluigi will also obviously take special measures to make sure that the same damage will not occur again.
