I just got a Pegoretti Luigino last week. Dario fitted me for it at the Interbike show last year. It does not come built. Nelson Frasier at GITA built it up with the wood rims just for the show. It is a beautiful frame with the double plate fork crown (from a solid billet). The fork crown is engraved with Buonsera Signorina. >>
Uncle Kenny,
Wasn't Dario actually named Darrel; that guy from Charlotte that used to weld stair railing for Gita? I know Dario sounds Italian but didn't he grow up poor in Gastonia or Robbins like John Edwards and the Gita boys moved him to Italy to make ultra light stair railing and bike frames? Nice work though; those stair railing are masterpieces known far and wide. Those stair railing hold their value, not like bikes ya know.
Anyway that Nelson guy I heard carves up the wooden rims in his spare time. Quite a fellow. He does wooden fenders too; does it have clearance for them?
Tell Darrel and Nelson I said high; can you send some pictures. I bet it's wonderful.
Pegoretti Phileas Fogg; explain. I'm new.
