Thanks to everyone for the responses. I had never heard of the brand, but then I've never shopped at REI. I guess Sue Novara can't copyright her surname, or maybe REI copyrighted the name first for use on bicycles. If so, maybe she couldn't now even produce a bike and call it Novara. Hmm, I wonder if someone could copyright the name Armstrong for use on a bicycle, sell them without Lance's permission, and block Lance from building Armstrong bikes. How about a Lance Armstrong bike? Any copyright lawyers on the list?

As I recall, that's the REI "house" brand. To my knowledge, they are not highly regarded. Production built in Asia. They may still be using this name for their bike line.

I recently came across one. Japanese tubing, probably Japanese-built, lugged steel, nice clean work. Shimano equipment. I assume this was marketed or at least endorsed by US cycling star Sue Novara. Was this designed for female proportions like a Georgina Terry frame?
