I collected stamps as a kid until one day I needed money to buy a bike. So I took my collection to a stamp show and tried to find a dealer willing to buy the lot. The best I could do was 75 cents on the dollar.

That didn't stop my collecting, it just insured that, from then on, I'd only collect what I liked and would keep. The LSD (Local Stamp Dealer) that I dealt with for years eventually gave me a bit more than the stamps' face value and I got my bike.

That bike was a Schwinn Superior. It was worth it.

Amir Avitzur Ramat-Gan, Israel ... the Superior is still in Baden ... my stamp collection is still growing
