Long story made short – I sold my beloved '74 Motobecane Grand Record I just restored and upgraded to 100% Campy to a wonderful fellow who was searching for one to give his wife as a 25th anniversary gift to replace a bike stolen way back in their college years. I needed the cash to buy my wife a modern (sorry) bike.

I replaced it with this Crescent frameset I picked up from list member Mark Agree in Michigan, and built it with an old Shimano 600 group. (My first Shimano road bike!)

It’s just beat enough to call it my winter beater/commuter. But, I love the ride! So, I’ll start all over, and do another painful restoration – thus my question. Is there any way to tell which model this is since there were no components? It does have the remains of Reynolds 531 decals, so it may be a Professional De Luxe 320 based on Dale’s page. If I build it with Nuovo Record, I suppose it'll be deluxe regardless.

Then again, once restored, it can’t be my winter beater, and the cycle will start all over again!
