Odd, I thought the cable was indeed aluminum. I'll pull out the unused one from my CLB-2's and test it with the trusty Rivendell refrigerator magnet. As I recall, it had a rather dull finish compared to steel cables, and it sure looked like Al to me, but the magnet will tell the tale. Maybe we will explode another urban myth.
