Someone might have mentioned this already, I have been having terrible problems with my email. A must see if you are in Ghent is Rik Van Plume's cycle shop he has a wonderful collection of bicycles. A lot of people miss these because they don't realise they are there, they are at the back of the shop down the stairs. The Ghent track is well worth a visit but this is not the original track this burnt down sometime in the 1960's I beleive. When in Flanders the "Trappist" beer is a must try but be warned this is powerful nectar! There use to be a great beer festival in Flanders at Weiss (think thats the spelling) this coincides with the Munich Beer Fest and the mayor of Munich use to open it. Went there in the seventies and they told me I had a smashing time but I can't remember. This is still held, last week in September. Oh and the First World War battlefields where so many lives were lost on both sides. The Menin gate where they still sound the Last Post every night and Toc H house near Popperinghe.
