...this 55cm 1970s Masi popped on the CR "For Sale" list yesterday. I'm really not sure whether this was Carlsbad or San Marcos. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL

Lou & the List,

I saw this one as well, Late 1975 or at latest 1976. Based on the CR serial number chart and those I have owned. While not universal, the asymmetrical stars & stripes ST bands were depleted sometime in 1975.

Lots of parts switching in this bike's history, not cheap but I am not one to say too expensive.

Always smile when looking at or riding my MC55.

Did not see the TT dents in my quick review of the images, did notice the rounded reinforcements forward of/at the chainstay bridge. This detail comes and goes, some pointed some rounded.

Good to hear from you Chuck, All my car collisions or close calls were of this type, car makes right into driveway beside or just in front of me. Except for once it was only the car drivers' ears that got damaged.
