Subject: [CR]FS 1980 Colnago

After acquiring a mint 1971 Colnago I feel it appropriate to find a new home for my 1980 Super.  It has original black paint with nary a mark on it, is 56cm center to center, and is full Super Record equipped, with mostly mint condition parts and some new ones, like the new Pantograph chainring, and NOS colnago saddle.  Wheels have Nisi Sludi rims and have seen very few miles.  I would also offer to switch out to a nice pair of clincher wheels if you prefer. Pantograph seat post too.  TTT bars and stem with tricolor Benotto tape.  I'm asking $1500 which is just about what I have in it and am offering it to list members first.  I could part it out and get a lot more for it that way, but I hate to do that to such a nice bike.  So get your wallets out and see what's in them.

If you are not familiar with the generations of Colnago frames, this one was made before they cheaped out on them.  The stay ends are nicely filed, not crimped like a couple years later, and it doesn't have that cheap looking stamped Colnago name in the chainstay.  Fork is all chrome.  In 1980 the frames were relatively hard to get and cost about $350-400 wholesale. By about 1982 they were a dime a dozen and you could get one from Bikecology for $269.

I will have pics available soon. Interested parties please contact me off list.
