I am starting on my CC(plan is to take it to VR) I am just looking to get it safely ridable.Big problem are the spokes which look like they were originally CHROME, are now chromeless(like most of the other chrome on the bike) . Safety says rebuild the wheels with new spokes(these are extremely light AMBROSIO single wall clinchers) so I could find some chrome spokes and have them be all that is shiny on the bike (most of chrome has disappeared from the hubs also) or use modern SS spokes(still maybe to shiny) or get some zinc plated spokes (UNION/TORRINGTON etc) which will blend in with the bike. I am leaning towards the ZINC SPOKES but am just looking for a little consensus
