Norris is quite correct in saying that this type of frame with Nervex Pro lugs were ten a penny in the fifties and sixties in Great Britain and on the Continent. And yes the British ones where virtually indistinguishable bar their makers transfers. These frames were still very common in the 70's and 80's. But where are they all today? They have literally vanished from the face of the earth. Well in East Anglia the region I live in. Went to two cycling jumbles in the space of a fortnight, these are first jumbles I have attended for over four years. At the biggest jumble at Mildenhall Cycling Festival where all the major sellers were present there was only one Nervex Pro frame I could see for sale and that was real tatty. At the next the National Association of Veteran Cycling Cubs Rally where there were lots of stalls a single Don Farrell frame which had been repainted was being offered. Back in 1979/80 these could be had at any cycle jumble for reasonable prices and yes you could still get a very nice example in original paint. Think you would struggle in my neck of the woods to get one today. My first Rotrax had Nervex Pro lugs and was a wonderful machine owned it for twenty years or more, toured and raced on it but rather foolishly sold it to someone who nagged me for over a year to sell it to him. Also owned a cheap clubmens Rotrax with Nervex Continental lugs that was in built in plain 531 tubing. The frame of theirs I always wanted was the Concours with those exquisite lugs. Both of my frames were built at their works in Kingston Road Southampton never got to visit there only the shop in Shirley Road.
