I agree completely with steve massland re: getting phone info, etc. ...plus the Ebay feedback list is not flawless!! Despite perfect feedback, I have found a seller who completely abandoned purchasers right at the time I won and paid for a book on Cinelli. I just paid immediately because the feedback was pristine. I waited over a month; since it was overseas and I am both patient and understanding (and too busy to stay on top of it) I have been unable to get any response from the seller, and as of sept 1 her feedback columns turned red with negative comments from buyers - this after a stellar record selling many many items since Jan 1. I've disputed the charges with both ebay/paypal and Amex - but it remains to be seen how it will resolve itself. My purchase was only 32 bucks - so it may be a cheap lesson ... But what I've learned is AT LEAST to establish contact after purchasing, get telephone numbers, even call BEFORE paying for something from overseas. And maybe use the paypal insurance. Paypal can supply contact info and telephone numbers (in this case I cant be bothered to call this person in Germany and tell em what a shmuck I think they are) but I will share the info with the list in case you are tempted to buy something from her...

Generally I think this kind of info is on-topic no? I for one would appreciate any kind of heads up about other rogue sellers ...
My 2 cents
