Well I finally got the raleigh track bike I posted about a week ago.

I think I paid a fair price for it but it was funny when I went to pick it up today it didn't seem quite as nice as when I first saw it. It's funny how one's excitement can skew your view a bit. It's in pretty good shape but it's missing some decals. there are no reynolds decals or team raleigh or professional ones either. There's a few chips in the paint but nothing major. It seems to me as though there may have been paint on the fork but it was stripped off to expose all of the chrome. It's also set up for brakes in both the front and back, does this hurt the value? I wouldn't think it would terribly much especially if one was planning on riding it. It's all campy record, even the pedals, the fiamme rims are pretty nice as well. And of course the cinelli stem and bars are nice as always. even the tires are in nice shape, they just need to be reglued.
I do plan on riding it but I may get a new set of clincher wheels for it. I don't want to risk riding on these original wheels, I'd like to preserve them. This is actually my first track/fixed gear bike and I hear they're alot of fun so i'm looking forward to riding this one. Any tips for a beginner? there's a huge parking lot near my home so i plan on praciticing there at night.
