Greetings:

I have recently been reinfected with riding and am the proud owner of a Lejeune which I purchased used from Walt's Bike Shop in Columbia, MO in the early 1970s. The bike itself is what brings me here. I have never seen another Lejeune in person, only pics, and none are like mine. I know it is a lower end model, but that is all.

It has a 531DB frame and 531 forks. IIRC, it had Simplex Criterium derailleurs. Lower end Stronglight cranks, MAFAC brakes, Normandie hubs with sewup rims that I do not recall. It was, of course, blood red with Lejeune on white fields on the seat tube, the down tube, and the forks. Forks and stays were chromed and it does not have, AFAICT, the Simplex ends. All of that is upgraded, I still have the crankset.

Anyone recognize this model? I find it a sweet ride and those who have also ridden it are impressed. In a fit of insanity about 20 years ago, I repainted it and am now considering returning it to more correct colors. Is there usually any problem obtaining replacement Reynolds decals?

I have also inherited a wrecked Trek 410 which I am considering transferring the Campy components to another Trek frame. It features the Triomphe cranks and deraileurs. If I were to do this, I will go all Campy as it originally came with other components

Looking forward to learning..
