Serial number is 4033

I don't know if mid 1980s means it's from California or what, but for most collectors it's too new.

The small ding looks small and inconsequential to me.

My opinion? It's Super Record reduced, it's not going to go for much money, the badge engraved in the top of the fork crown is beautiful and the bike looks gorgeous. A no reserve auction? Within driving distance so it won't get more dinged up in shipping. Go for it Ted!!!
