Marc, I came across the same bike about 8-10 years ago at a semi-fancy antiques shop in Manhattan. I think it was about $600.00. I called The Bourgwart (sp?) Bicycle Museum in upstate N.Y. and got the real dope. She was a very utilitarian machine built for the masses to emulate fine racing machines. I walked home. But give um a call, find out more and maybe their are some special bits to make her more special. enjoy, Johnny Pergolizzi Brooklyn, New York
