Subject line says it all. Is there an easy (cheap) way to fix stripped threads on an English threaded b.b?

1. Run English taps through the shell and make sure it's a lost cause. 2. Mavic BB. I've got one I'd sell you, but proper installation requires chamfering the shell. Mavic BB's do not rely on the shell threads, and, in their heyday, were a common cure for threading problems. 3. Tap it out to Italian. No big deal, except finding a shop with cutting tools. Maybe Vecchio's in Boulder. 4. Some half-assed fix-it solution, depending on the value of the frame.
