Don't use the flash especially for close up shots. Try to get a uniform background contrasting to the frame color. Measure the exposure with a grey card (alternativle use your palm) otherwise parts and frame will become too bright in front of a dark background (and vise versa). Make sure that the camera focuses on the frame and not through the frame.

Hi folks,
I will be attending a bicycle show this weekend, and was wondering if anyone could share any tips on bicycle photography. In the past my frame photos, have frequently been slightly overexposed. I would expect fluoresent lighting, and glossy paint. I do have a good digital camera (auto and manual settings). Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks
