Hah. I didn't notice that detail on the brakes. I bet it was set up that way for racing. You wouldn't lose brake power if the QR popped up for some reason, and the tires were skinny enough that you didn't need the QR when you removed the wheel. Cool.

Yeah, that would be a fun bike to have..just for all the nifty practical details.
