This was the 1978 team. Gerrie Knetemann had a spectacular year, winning Paris-Nice and the World Championship, among many other races. Raas, van der Velde, and Wellens each had a great year. In 1978, TI-Raleigh began their domination of the team time trial in the Tour de France; in addition, team members won the Tour prologue and 8 individual stages.
Truly one of the greatest teams of all time.
