A posting from SF Craigslist today (no relation to poster):

HELLO: I have been collecting and restoring bicycles since I was a kid. Over the years I have gathered over 100 bicycles, many of which are in my garage, my kitchen, my backyard, the living room, a rented facility... This has become an addictive habit... I just can't seem to stay away from buying a bicycle, a shiny part, or a doo-dad when I find them. Finding a poor, old, negected machine and transforming it into a beautiful rolling piece of mechanical perfection capable of transporting me almost anywhere in the world(at least...in mind) is always a epic thrill... Unfortunately... the thrill has gotten out WAY of hand. I want to unclutter my life and keep things simple. My daughter does not need 10 bicycles, I do not need 90 or 100 or 120... I don't even know... Some of these bicycles I bought years ago because I wanted one tiny part on it...It's nuts. I bet I own more bicycles than Robin Williams. One, I even rode up l'Alpe D'Huez. I have exceded my capacity for enjoying and caring for all of them and yet... I still have not found the perfect bike. Almost all are in excellent shape(that's why I bought them)OR: are excellent candidates for restoration and parts. All of my bicycles belong to me and were purchased NEW, or at: Flea Markets, Garage Sales, Swap Meets, or Thrift Stores. Bicycles from the 20's, 30's. 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's,00's.

Lightweights: TREK, BIANCHI, RALIEGH, CANNONDALE, SOMEC, MOTOBECANE, ITALVEGA, PEUGEOT, HANS LUTZ, SCHWINN, DIAMOND BACK, NOVARA, SPECIALIZED, GT Heavyweights: Schwinn, Raliegh, BSA, Iver Johnson, Mead, Wards-Hawthorne, and on and on... Pre-War and Post-War. A FEW MOUNTAIN BIKES TOO. Lots of vintage Parts: Tires, Seats, NutsNbolts, Frames, Fenders, etc, etc... I'll start posting some individually if I ever step into the 21st century and buy a digital Camara. E-mail and and tell me what you're looking for and I may have it... Or make plans to come over. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY>>>NO TIRE KICKERS. Thank You.
