California Colnago fans and any others who happen to be here in SoCal the weekend of Feb. 13, ATTENTION!
There will be a COLNAGO RIDE in south orange county Sunday February 13, 2005. We meet at 9:15, roll out at 10am sharp--or slightly blunt, anyway.
We will be celebrating Ernesto's birthday, which falls in the previous week.
There will be breakfast goodies and stuff to drink. We will eat after the ride somewhere in Dana Point.
Please bring your Colnago. Any Colnago is fine, right up to now, but pre-1985 Colnagos would be especially nice to see. If you don't have a Colnago, just ride anything italian. If you don't have anything italian, whatsa wronga wid' you? But if you don't, ride whatever you like. Colnago and italian preferred however. The more Colnago jerseys, tchotchkes, and what-not, the better.
We will meet at the far northern parking lot in Dana Point Marina, just opposite the tall-ship display at the north end of the harbor. Take Golden Lantern to the water. Turn left on Dana Point Harbor Drive, and go all the way to the end, the parking lot is on the right. If you need more information on how to get there, e-mail me.
The route of the ride is yet to be determined. We will either ride down to San Onofre and back, or do a loop of connected bike-paths in south Orange County, possibly including a jaunt through Laguna Beach. Between 25 and 30 miles. There may be some significant climbing, so bring the right cluster...
Please note! This is a social ride. No hammer-dropping. This is an easy-pace, no-drop ride. The idea is to keep that big group of Colnagos together, and have fun doing it, ok? If you wanna drop the hammer, go on some other ride.

I will award a totally subjective prize for the Colnago I like best, and there will also be riders'-choice prize for the best Colnago. So get your cool Colnago together for Feb. 13.
