We have the fibrax leather inserted rubber pads and they are $14 a pair. We also have all Felt brake pads too, that might be more soft on old wooden rims. Not sure how much stopping power they have, but more than nothing and they will not kill the rim. they are $10 a pair. pictures of the fibrax ones are on the website. I will be at westminster if anyone needs any, contact me either through the website or directly through email. If there is anything that anyone is looking for, just ask, can't hurt. thanks ralph Via Bicycle Philadelphia, PA http://www.bikeville.com

> I have used leather covered brake pads ( bring longer pads to a shoe repair > place and let them glue on leather rough side out) or fibrax pads ( used on > steel rims in Gt Britain and still easily available). They are a combination pad > of leather and compressed felt. They do not mar the wood finish nor fade as > rubber blocks do. Alan bernstein sunny/cold NYC

uh, where are Fibrax pads easily and cheaply available?
