i think this is fine. the stuff doesn't wrap itself up and drive to the post office; i think it's fair game to "charge" for it.

from ebay-

Today, we are announcing that eBay.com and eBay Motors will be making changes to the fee structure effective February 18, 2005. Items that are scheduled to begin on eBay.com or eBay Motors after midnight Pacific Time on February 18, 2005 will be charged based on the new fees.

The fee changes are broken down by area below:

Fee Changes for eBay.com and eBay Motors Parts & Accessories Listings Gallery Gallery fees will be raised from $0.25 to $0.35 per listing.

We will also be increasing the size of the Gallery image on search and listings pages by 56%. This will make it easier for buyers to see details of the item before clicking into the listing.

Buy It Now Buy It Now fees will no longer be charged at a flat rate, and will instead be determined based on the Buy It Now price. Fees will be charged as follows:

10-Day Duration The fee for 10-day duration listings will be raised from $0.20 to $0.40 per listing.

Price raising also on closing cost, about 3% more.

Here is a link to the exact numbers- http://ebay.com/<blah>

now all they have to do is raise the Paypal costs too.(because ebay owns Paypal). sorry to bring down any sellers here on the list, I can see the "shipping and handling" costs on listings going up as well.

thanks
