Subject: [CR]Mounting rubber hoods on Campy brake levers

To all you Campy SR/NR brake lever users -- Whats the best way to put the rubber hoods on the levers? If you go on over the lever from the front, it takes a very strong and awkward pull to get it over the hooked up part, and with less than fresh or used hoods, the rubber can split at the bottom-front. Ouch! There goes $$$!

I tried using talcum powder to help it slide on and that helped a little.

If you remove the lever (unbolt it from the band) it looks like it would go on easier, but then if you're trying to save your tape-job, you have to fiddle with trying to remount the lever so it doesn't have tape caught underneath (between the lever and the handlebar).

Any tips from all you experts?
