After all the postings on this bike I had to go home and look at my Schwinn New World from the 30s/40s. The frame is virtually the same except for the fender eyelets and chainguard braze ons on mine. The decal and head tube badge are identical. I noticed in the ad the stem is more track oriented. The one on ebay has the short forged version that again is identical to the one on my bike. I agree that this is authentic as the crank and chainrings match the ad. My crank is the one piece astubula type. Still if the frame materials are alike then this is one heavy frame.
