Subject: [CR]replica Bianchi pedals

For all of those that have Bianchi bikes from the 1930's-1950's, you have probably seen the photos of bikes with the original Bianchi pedals with integrated 'B' in the alloy cages. These pedals are truly lovely but generally do not survive anywhere near as long as the bikes. So most bikes have long lost theirs.

One of my friends in Italy has developed a kit to rebuild these pedals. He has built both the pointy quill version as well as the more rounded quill versions. You can see the results here: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Bianchi-1940?page=2

He has offered to have a few extra sets made for me and anybody else interested in them. The kit is made up of the outer cage as well as the two alloy cross pieces. You would still need to supply your own Sheffield center pedal body and spindle and do the assembly. He still does not have the exact cost but guesses that the kits for one set of pedals will cost about 50 euros plus shipping.

If you are interested in picking up such a kit, please let me know shortly and I will ask him to see if he can satisfy the demand.
