I can't let that one go. As Mike Kone observed some years ago, collecting Masis is a tricky business, since they came in so many distinct flavors... my five would be..:

1) 50s/60s Masi Special with the Cinelli lugs.

2) 60s Masi Special with the nervex lugs and fade-paint...super cool!

3) Masi Gran Criterium with Dubois lugs and flat seat-stay caps with the rare-ish graphics that lasted only a year or so..

4) Early Carlsbad GC with twin-plate crown. With or without the cut-away head-lug spoons (very early Carlsbad frames sometimes had the full spoon on the underside of the lug...this feature disappeared when the lugs were radiused differently)

5) Masi Prestige from before 1980 or so..I never would have sold that orange one I had, except it was a tad small for me, and was too damned nice to ride.. those early Prestiges are really sharp bikes..
