Here's my fantasy list, in no particular order. A * denotes bikes I already have.1955/6 Armstrong PathRacer*.........courtesy of Martin Copeland. Stunning 531, Nervex Pro frame and twin plate fork, very minor "crackling" on the green enamel reminds one of a Faberge egg (but it is far more beautiful than that). Rides like a proverbial dream.1951 Rotrax "the Concours model"*.........courstesy of Joe B.Z. I originally was a trifle disappointed in this frameset (531, ornate long point lugs, almost no braze-ons) but it has really grown on me. Sublime ride. Maybe my unenthusiasm was caused by a jaded bike appetite, yeah, that's it, I need to buy yet another bike. This frameset was confirmed as made in feb 1952, I would love to find one made in jan, the first ever month of manufacture of this model ;-)Urago road frameset*, 531, spearpoints on the fork of course, but relatively plain lugs, and a few brazeons. All 3 of the above built as fixed. Anyone know how to date an Urago frame?? When I first got this bike I felt it was lacking "snap", but now I realize it's just built to ride for weeks or months at a time, over almost any road surface. A neat swap with my former employer for a nice guitar.Ritchey Annapurna, in 20" or 21" please, with all brazeons possible. Who doesn't fall in love with such artistry.Cunningham Indian, also 20" or 21" please. Who doesn't want one of these, simply because. When I wore out a Ross riding across country (OK, I know I was mad, have seen the light since) I had the good fortune to test-ride one of these in San Fran. I ended up with a Fuso MTB(gorgeous, which I still have)but it was only the $3300 for the bike that prevented me buying it!!Bike Friday Pocket Lama, with the full travel system trailer of course. I have always loved the idea of a bike and trailer that disappers into its own hard-sided case, that can then be checked in to the airline at no charge. Hard to justify yet another (niche??) bike, with a pretty high price tag. If someone wants to buy me one, I promise to use it to ride from Prague to Vienna (at least) this summer, and send them postcards daily.Neill Currie6 Emerald DriveHillsborough Nh 03244tel: 603-464-0250 ------------I usually have classic bicycle components for sale at good prices.
