Yeah, there is a name from the past. Made the Bartlett Pear custom bikes in Carbondale, IL. I used to live an hour from him and saw several of the bikes. Didn't he also apprentice under Eisentraut or someone? I remember a very creative one which was was made for someone who couldn't pedal in the normal fashion as a result of some kind of disability or partial paralysis. I also remember very finely tapered lugs. Anybody else with anything to add? Where are they today? I think he made one of his last ones for himself and his wife/SO-- a tandem, and then did he join a commune or something?
