It looks more and more that I will be doing the late 70's Gios Torino. The frame is basically healthy but there is the slight tinge of oxidation on all the tube interiors that I can see. If I paint myself and don't send it off to Cyclart, how would I go about it? I thought of spraying some kind of zinc treatment in all the the tubes after a thorough strip and sanding. Does framesaver neutralize all existing oxidation? I once kept a frame in a humid shed for years with no growth of rust by filling all the tubes with motor oil and smearing grease on the exterior. Even the paint was perfect when I cleaned it up. Does chemical stripper hurt the tubes if it gets into the bottom bracket and doesn't all get washed off?
