Well, because the Atlanta Vintage Ride scheduled for today was rescheduled due to threatening weather, Nick Zatezalo and I used the occasion to get together, talk old bikes, and measure some more old bikes. We had a chance to measure his Nag and his Tommasini as well as the rest of mine.

We had a great time talking about some of Nick's recent bike sales over lunch among many other important vintage bike issues. If Nick sells many more - I'm going to have to give him a loaner!

Here are the rest of my bikes:

Early '80's Colnago - A very responsive, fun, and not uncomfortable bike in spite of the steep angles. Now, where's that '70's Pog? ST 57.5cm TT 57cm ST angle 74 HT angle 75 Rake 51mm CS 405mm WB 993mm BB drop 74mm Trail 3.8cm!!!!

'85-'86 De Rosa A sweeeeeet ride! ST 59.5cm TT 58cm ST angle 74 HT angle 74 Rake 55mm CS 415mm WB 1015mm BB Drop 73 Trail 4.0cm

'79 McLean - A custom build for me(pics on the CR site). I think this bike would have been better with a 73 HT angle and shorter TT and front c-c and more rake. Rides nice nonetheless and has great sentimental value. ST 58.5cm TT 58cm ST angle 73.5 TT angle 72.5 Rake 42mm CS 413mm WB 1020mm BB Drop 77mm Trail 66.7

It's been a fun exercise to document the design specs on these frames and to correlate them to the feel and ride qualities of the various bikes. Most of these bikes are set up similarly with similar wheels and tires so the comparisons and data are useful to me. Its interesting to see how wide a range of bike geometry yields very rideable bikes.

Hope some of you find this information of some interest. Happy riding!
