I have had a great many enquiries about how to wrap with leather. Best
advice I can give you is suck up to a friend who likes to do it and is good
at it. Fortunately for me I have such a friend. Bill Barrow has allowed me
to photograph him wrapping the Baylis with the stipulation that I not show
his face...probably someone will recognize him from a wanted poster
(:<)...for whatever the reason, I respected his wish and shot a bunch of
photos this afternoon as he did the Baylis wrap.
I have put them on the Wool Jersey site and those interested in how Bill
does this (he achieves really cool results, I think) may wish to peruse
them. Of course you perhaps have your own techniques and I am not holding
out these to be the "correct" way or only of doing it. Other ways no doubt
work well, too. However, here is one guy's application of it...and he's
pretty good at it, too!
