Jan Heine asked about dural. cottered cranks, in 1947 or so, W.F. (Sandy) Holdsworth were selling some under the "Allez" brand name, standard 3 pin, fluted, and highly polished. A chainset complete was 47 shillings and 6 pence (2 pounds and 35 new pence),in other words expensive compared to Williams
etc. steel.
