Ronald, I think Chuck is being modest - I've seen that he knows all sorts of obscure information about the Campagnolo stuff. Of course, any time people make assertions about the old Campagnolo pieces, they're rebuked from all corners of the earth, so perhaps Chuck is being careful... Anyway, here are my assertions - I won't let my ignorance get in the way of my opinions: as Chuck's timeline states, the NR rear derailleur was introduced in 1967. Until 1970, the year of manufacture was not stamped on the piece. Also - and this is critical - for the first year or two, the part of the derailleur that houses the big cage spring is made a bit differently. It's dificult to explain, but someone on this list once posted pictures comparing the earliest version with the 1969 version. Best regards, Fred Rednor - Arlignton, Virginia
