Subject: [CR]correct brakes for a 64 Paramount?

Danny Jefferson asks about '64 Paramounts:

DJ: Could anyone tell me if these brakes would be same as original on a 64 Paramount?

http://ebay.com/<blah>

DJ: Did Weinmann brakes of this era have a date stamp of any kind?

Harvey: Good news: these look like the right ones. Bad News: Pix a bit obscure, but look like the series with the pivot pins riveted to the backing plate. These can crack the plate; happy to send pix to those who wish. I reserve mine (on a 65 Paramount) for light duty service.

DJ: Not certain if this is a P13 or ? I have been looking at the schwinn dealer catalogues at the schwinn Lightweight Data book site, and anywhere else I have been able to find, and its hard to distinguish in any of the pics if there are eyelets, is the presence (or absence)of eyelets on the dropouts any kind of indicator for this year?

Harvey: I believe that all the Paramounts of that era had eyelets. Certainly my 65 is a bona fide racing model (from its history), but has them.
