Louis Schulman asked about making payment to UK sellers from the US when they don't accept PayPal, personal checks or charges and require payment in pounds. And wanted to know, "What does everyone do in this situation?"

I don't know about now, but a couple of years ago, the USPS MO-to-UK process was: pay for the MO, give the PO all your data, they send the data to St. Louis, and several weeks later someone in St. Louis would send the MO to the UK. I did that only once. On a couple of other occasions, I bought Pounds Sterling from my bank (SunTrust), and sent them tightly wrapped and registered to the UK. I believe there is a USPS strong suggestion to avoid sending cash through the mail, but it has worked so far.
